Solar Architecture Meets Luxury Golf and Hospitality
Located along Hawaiʻi’s stunning Kohala Coast, Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection is enhancing its golf facilities with The Bays, a new Toptracer driving range and social destination featuring two custom solar canopy structures by Infinity Rack.
he project features a 159-foot-long solar canopy covering driving range hitting bays equipped with Toptracer technology, alongside a separate 1,240-square-foot solar pavilion designed as a lounge where golfers and guests can relax, socialize, and enjoy food and drinks. The space will also accommodate private events and gatherings.
Together, the structures provide more than 5,300 square feet of covered outdoor space. Infinity Rack’s mechanically watertight solar roofing system integrates solar energy generation directly into the architecture, providing shade and weather protection while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
Designed to complement Mauna Lani’s luxury resort setting, the project demonstrates how solar architecture can transform recreational and hospitality spaces into functional, energy-generating destinations.
